      As startling as it was that Carl Pavano started on Opening Day 2007, I’ll bet nobody could remember who the starting 1B was that day. I sure didn’t.

      Yankees started the same 4 infielders and the same 3 outfielders in consecutive season openers for the 1st time since 1926–1927.

      LaPoint, Leary and Sanderson? Those were some brutal lineups 1990-1992.
