His time in AA might’ve been helpful but it certainly didn’t take away any of his rage.

FYI, I should’ve mentioned that the Charleston River Dogs (Yanks low-A affiliate in the South Atlantic League) were playing the Red Sox affiliate Greenville Drive.

From what I read online, there was some bad blood between these two teams going back to last month when teams exchanged beanings and that Heathcott’s explosion on Greenville’s catcher on the game’s third pitch goes back to the incidents of earlier this season.

What a difference between this one and A-Rod vs. Varitek on July 24, 2004.

The point of AA isn’t “rage” control, it’s sobriety.

Mighty nice of Leonel Escobar (#33) to get his kicks and punches in while a man is down

Not trying to make excuses, but there should be some suspensions issued on the other side as well.

At the 0:14 mark, Escobar (33) throws his glove down at Heathcott and tries to kick him on the ground. That should be up there on games suspended… or at least, revoke his man card.

Continuing the video, you got Jacobs (24) with a ridiculous chokehold on him. That should be a few games too, no?

Also… after watching this, I have to ask: who would you take in a fight: Slade Heathcott or Kyle Farnsworth?

      @ Steve Lombardi:
That’s for sure…I wouldn’t mess with Heathcott. He missed with a punch to the face and it still knocked the catcher on his ass.

You misunderstood me. I wasn’t taking a shot at Heathcott, I was simply saying that AA didn’t take away his feisty streak.

Yep, it’s amazing what can happen when the catcher takes off his mask like a man.

In another post you talk about how much you hate the Red Sox. Apparently, however, you hate A-Rod much, much more.

Farnsworth. He’s not only taller and more well-built but he’s a student of martial arts and MMA.

Farnsworth is a lousy pitcher but would’ve made one hell of a fighter in the octagon, had Dana White ever come calling. Of course, he’s made a better living as a baseball player…

      @ Corey Italiano:
Is Herschel any good? I figure he’ll get his ass beat the moment he fights real competition.
