Jeter’s “Sore Right Calf”

I’m thinking more like an achilles tendon issue than a “sore right calf.” You don’t rush a guy – no matter what General Joe said in the post-game about the Yankees always getting a quick MRI – under the magnet for a sore right calf.

I thought the same too. Then I remembered that Jeter has played in just about every game, and this may be Girardi’s excuse to get him out of there.
Having said that, given Girardi’s love of secrets Jeter probably has a broken leg, or something. I suspect Jeter will be day to day with a mild strain. Didn’t the Yanks send Colon out for a MRI a couple of days ago?
It’s Marty Miller’s fault!
According to Lohud, Jeter has a Grade 1 strain, which is the lowest level.
Maybe not DL but probably at least a couple of games out, I guess.
