The June Boon

With this evening’s win, the Yankees are 17-8 in the month of June, with one game left to play. And, two of those eight losses were by one-run.
Can a team play any better than that? I don’t think so.
And, yes, I know, since May 17th, New York is 27-12.
It’s been a great run. Now they just need to not screw it up over the next two months.

It really minimizes those losses against the Red Sox. If I was told, “the Yanks will lose 90% of their games against the Red Sox, but win 68% of their games against everyone else. Would you sign-up?”.
Yeah, sign me right up!
Agreed, Garcia. I have to say though, I really like the new positive approach Steve has been taking.
The pessismist in me says that after a long run of good baseball, nearly a quarter season long, and a shorter run of great baseball (14-4) lasting about 3 weeks, they’re probably due for a run of bad baseball.
They could lose today, then drop 2 of 3 to a red-hot Mets team. They could drop 8 of 12 from here, and fall into 3rd.
Not saying they will, but this type of hot run doesn’t last forever.
