The Sign Of The Awful Mariners

It begins with that starting line-up that they threw together to face the Yankees tonight.
Are they kidding me?
Reminded me of the Yankees Opening Day line-up in 1989…when Tom Brookens was their three hitter…

At least there was the upside that Brookens was holding the #3 spot open for Mattingly.
In theory, Rickey-Sax-Mattingly-Winnie would’ve been a nice start to a lineup, but things didn’t work out as planned…
When Miguel Olivo is your clean-up hitter, you aren’t winning many games.
In fact, if Adam Kennedy is your 5th hitter, the same can be said.
Wow.
