    Yankees had a moment of silence before tonight’s game for Hideki Irabu.

    Made me wonder if they did the same for Rod Scurry.  But, then I looked and saw him died in the off-season.

    They may have done one for Steve Howe.  I seem to recall that  – but, it could be my mind playing tricks on me.

      On Old Timers Day this year I specifically remember when they were reading the list of Yankees and baseball people who had passed on since last OT Day.

      And just when they were mentioning Tom Underwood, the lefty who pitched for the Yanks in 1980-81, the YES camera happened to be focused on Lou Piniella, and the stunned look on his face made me think Underwood’s passing was totally news to him.

      Looks like Irabu was a pretty good teammate, according to comments made by several players
