Yes, Hughes is young. But, at some point, you want to see an ERA that’s not around five, right?





Yes, the string has just about run out on this once-touted prospect. Next year he’ll probably be given a chance to compete for the fifth spot in the rotation or be returned to the bullpen, though I would be neither surprised nor saddened to see him dealt in the off-season. Yes, that would be selling low, but you do that when you expect the asset to go even lower in the future.
