Is Today Clinch Day In Yankeeland?

Could be…
And, today, all I can think of is:
- Let’s give Joe Girardi some major credit for getting the Yankees were they are today, and
- Boy, are the Red Sox doing a major choke job, or what?

Not give the players some major credit for getting themselves where they are today?
Players; si!
Girardi; si!
Cashman? Uh, no, don’t think so.
General Joe does deserve credit and the players do too. They kept grinding even after repeatedly getting spanked by the Botox. Boston will whine about injuries until the snow melts next Spring, but to that I offer the following 9 word reply… Jeter, A-Rod, Colon, Gardner, Cisco, Swisher, Hughes, Joba, Soriano…. We lost our SS and 3rd basemen for extended periods, Cisco is still hearing bells, Gardner has been fighting hand/wrist issues on and off most of the year, Swisher has got an elbow issue, Joba barely got out of the gate, Hughes had phantom injuries, but nonetheless was on the shelf for a long stretch, the bungy cord in the back of Colon’s leg was very flimsy for more than a month. While our starting pitching might not carry us to the final goal, this was a team that showed some 1998-style grit. Joe and Cash get props for that.
