Vote For Freddy

Gotta wonder if Freddy Garcia, who has made 6 starts in the Yankees’ last 51 games, is now the favorite to start Gm 3 of Division Series.
It’s a fair question. Burnett sucks. Hughes is unreliable and hurt. Colon’s last outing was very concerning. What other choice do the Yankees have but to consider using Sabathia, Nova and Garcia in the ALDS – even if the latter is a contact pitcher who needs to be on to have a chance in the game?

The others have largely eliminated themselves. Freddy qualifies by the last-man-standing principle.
“Gotta wonder”, Curry has gotta be kidding! He’s just discovered ice in the Artic. What choice do the Yankees have? Colon is shot. Phil (if it isn’t one thing, it’s another) Hughes is true to form (see 2009 and 2010 for more details) and AJ, well we all know AJ is a mess, how can anyone trust him in a high leverage situation. To be honest I trust Hector Noesi more than AJ. Garcia as third starter is not a choice, it’s the last biscuit in the bowl.
Did Curry phone Jorge Posada’s father for that one too?
Game 3 of the ALDS is more than likely going to be one of those 8-7 type games anyway. As we saw in 1996 with Kenny Rogers, it doesn’t matter who started as long as you win the game.
