The way I see it, there’s no way around MoTown. So do you want the Tigers in the ALDS or the ALCS?
The Rangers for two reasons.
1) Rather face Verlander twice in 7 games, then twice in 5 games.
2) Revenge for last season’s ALCS.
Wanna beat the Tigers for payback on 2006.
Wanna beat the Rangers for payback on last year.
But, who first?
I hate having to face Verlander this year two times in a best of three.
But, I hate giving the Rangers more games against pitchers other than CC and Nova.
It’s all such a tough call for me. Both routes are going to be uphill.
I don’t know if Leyland would let Verlander go 1-4-7 in the LCS, but in that case you’d have to hope Tampa takes the Tigers to a 5th game.
