So, what do you think?  Are the Cardinals a team of destiny?  Or, are the Rangers just too strong?

There’s just two former Yankees in this World Series – by my quick count – and neither of them were in New York for very long.

In any event, as a Yankees fan, who are you rooting for in this one?

Texas. First Champs are fun to see.

Cards. As much as I hate to root for Larussa, I like Berkman and Pujols, and I don’t like Texas and Josh Hamilton (for no particular reason) rubs me the wrong way. But all of that said, a ring for Ryan, Washington, Daniels, Kinsler and Cruz would be well-earned. Should be a good series. I will be one of the 17 people on the east coast tuning in for this one.

      Texas.

      1) They’ve done enough to earn their first one. Like to see Nolan get them over the hump. Michael Young deserves a ring.

      2) I don’t like the NL and unless they are playing against the Botox, I’ll pull for the AL team.

      3) The Cards (10) are really the only team to even be on the field of conversation with the Yankees (27) re: all-time franchise success (okay, “Oakland” in all it’s permutations has 9) I don’t want the Cards to get another ring until we have at least 3 more.

Based on fans alone, rooting whole-heartedly for the Cardinals. Texas fans (no matter the sport) are the worst. It’s amazing how a team that’s never won a ring can have so many obnoxious, loud-mouthed fans who constantly boast about their team’s greatness.

I hate both teams, don’t care who wins really. Wanted to see the Brew crew win it all.

      Cardinals.

I was for the Brewers too. Great fans who don’t get to celebrate very often. Except for K-Rod, I like just about everyone on that squad. I like Pujols and Berkman (and the Cards uniforms) and Texas just doesn’t do it for me. It’s kind of like rooting for the Cowboys. Just hard to let that happen.

      100% agree.

Not really rooting for either one. Don’t hate either one, but I was pulling for the Brewers, too.

I’ll watch and enjoy the games. Don’t really have a rooting interest, I also was hoping the Brewers would pull it off.

Cards bullpen’s relieved that they have a couple days off, I’m sure :D

I don’t like either. Can’t stand LaRussa or Texas (the people…lol). I don’t think I’ll even watch the games.
