So, who should bat 4th for the Yankees in 2012?

Ramiro Pena and his .400-.500-.400 line
Given Girardi’s proclivities, I’d say Cano bats 4th a majority of the time.
@ Raf:
I disagree, I think we’ll see mostly Cano-Tex-A-Rod
@ Corey Italiano:
Do you think Girardi has it in him to bat two LHB’s back to back?
@ Raf:
Tex is a switch hitter.
@ Corey Italiano:
Yeah, but Granderson isn’t
Jeter
Granderson
Teix
Cano
Rodriguez
Swisher
————-
Martin
Gardner
???
The last 3 spots are up for grabs, who knows who’s going to bat where; some combination of Gardner, Martin, Cervelli, Nunez, Andruw, Bill Hall (wat?) or Ibanez if he signs with the Yanks…

If it were me in charge, I’d do:
Jeter-Swisher-Cano-Tex-ARod-Granderson-Martin-DH-Gardner

I don’t think Girardi has it in him to do anything against a veteran player.
I’d be shocked if Tex-ARod isn’t the 3-4 again, even if it should be more like the 6-7.
Assuming A-Rod is healthy, he should be the #4.
So I guess it’s a Jones/Branyan platoon @ DH?

The Bucos keep coming back to the Well and asking for AJ, the Yankee brass wants Garret Jones in the deal and eat 25 to 27 mm of AJ contract.. Pirates are balking on letting Garret Jones be part of the deal.. I still think the Yankees would like to have Chavez in the mix to play 3nd in case A-Rod breaks down again, but if you going to eat that contract, why not try and trade Aj for a thrid basemen now and get a longer term solution at third base until Dante Bichett jr is ready to take over in the next 4 or 5 years?..
@ sicilianlou:
Sorry man, I meant Andruw Jones
