Maybe the winner could then race Paul Konerko?
Here’s a fun list - From 1955 to 2011, players with 6+ seasons of at least 100 games played where their SB total was better than 5 times their CS total. See below:
| Rk | Yrs | From | To | Age | ||

| 19 | Paul Molitor | 6 | 1983 | 1995 | 26-38 | Ind. Seasons |
.
Of course, the flaw here is that a guy with one steal and zero caught stealing would get credit for a season here. So, what if you said they needed at least 5 steals? Then you get this list:
| Rk | Yrs | From | To | Age | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tim Raines | 8 | 1983 | 1995 | 23-35 | Ind. Seasons |
| 2 | Rickey Henderson | 8 | 1983 | 1998 | 24-39 | Ind. Seasons |
| 3 | Johnny Damon | 7 | 1999 | 2010 | 25-36 | Ind. Seasons |
| 4 | Hank Aaron | 7 | 1959 | 1970 | 25-36 | Ind. Seasons |
| 5 | Willie Mays | 7 | 1955 | 1971 | 24-40 | Ind. Seasons |
| 6 | Mickey Mantle | 7 | 1955 | 1962 | 23-30 | Ind. Seasons |
| 7 | Chase Utley | 6 | 2005 | 2011 | 26-32 | Ind. Seasons |
| 8 | Alex Rodriguez | 6 | 2001 | 2009 | 25-33 | Ind. Seasons |
| 9 | Carlos Beltran | 6 | 2001 | 2008 | 24-31 | Ind. Seasons |
| 10 | Derek Jeter | 6 | 2000 | 2009 | 26-35 | Ind. Seasons |
| 11 | Craig Biggio | 6 | 1989 | 2005 | 23-39 | Ind. Seasons |
| 12 | Barry Larkin | 6 | 1988 | 1998 | 24-34 | Ind. Seasons |
| 13 | Stan Javier | 6 | 1988 | 1997 | 24-33 | Ind. Seasons |
| 14 | Barry Bonds | 6 | 1986 | 2007 | 21-42 | Ind. Seasons |
| 15 | Paul Molitor | 6 | 1983 | 1995 | 26-38 | Ind. Seasons |
.
Now, that’s what you would expect to see here – in terms of modern guys who were good base stealers.

Impressive that Mays, Mantle, and Aaron, all power hitters, who played top-notched defense were able to accomplish what they did. And that’s without the occasional ‘booster shot’ to refresh the legs, who’m were all post 1980 players. Must be coincidental, I’m “sure”…..
