Dog Soldiers

Last night, I finally got a chance to watch the movie Dog Soldiers. (I’ve been a fan of Kevin McKidd since he did Rome.)
I enjoyed it. It was sort of like Predator merged with Night of the Living Dead merged with The Howling.
There’s some cool things about this one. Some great lines too.
No question, it’s a guy flick. But, there’s nothing wrong with that if you’re a dude.
Never heard of this movie but I, too, have been a fan of McKidd’s for a long time (first in the 1996 movie Trainspotting and then in his awesome work as Lucius Vorenus).

He was in Trainspotting??? It’s been a while since I’ve seen it. Need to brush up on that movie again sometime. I was introduced to him on Rome as well. He’s also on Grey’s Anatomy currently which the wife and I are into.

My buddy didn’t like Dog Soldiers. Mind you his taste is very off whack. I’m gonna add it to my Queue. The reviews on Rotten Tomatoes were quite favorable.

It’s not high tech. And, it’s a tad gory. But, if you go in with modest expectations, an open mind, and you’re a guy, I think you can get into it.
