In the A.L., the O’s and Rays play for the wildcard.  And, in the N.L., the Mets and Giants play for the wildcard.

Then, in the junior circuit, the wildcard winner faces the Yankees whereas the White Sox and Rangers face-off in the ALDS.

And, in the senior circuit, the wildcard winner faces the Dodgers whereas the Nationals and Reds face-off in the NLDS.

So, is this the way it’s going down this post-season?  If so, who wins it all?  And, if not, which of these teams will not make the post-season and who will make it in their place?

Don’t see the O’s keeping up this pace. Maybe the Angels instead?
I could see the Tigers getting hot and winning that Division as well.
Not sure about the NL East. I could see Nats or Mets winning that one. After losing Beachy I think the Braves are out.

I don’t see the Mets at all. No matter how great Dickey and Santana have been, that offense and that bullpen are going to take their lumps.

      @ MJ Recanati:
Agreed. I can at least seeing them making it close with WAS. Could also see them fading fast in the second half. So do we agree that WAS is gonna with the East?

I’m rooting for the Nats (Friend put 20 bucks for me on ‘em in Vegas to win it all)

I think they’ve got a great shot to win it but I wonder what’ll happen when they have to shut Strasburg down. I’m not convinced on Michael Morse and Werth/LaRoche are “meh” to me.

I’m rooting for them though. It would be great for baseball in D.C. if the Nats can get a playoff series in their ballpark. They’re by no means out of the woods on surviving as a franchise so generating some buzz among fans down there would be a very good thing for them.
