As I commented on facebook when my friend shared this photo: The amazing thing is that the Yankees won’t allow things like all kids run the bases after a Sunday home game because they don’t want their field messed up. But, $omething like thi$ i$ fine.

Maybe the Yankees will let the kids run the bases post game if the kids help pull the protective tarps over the moat seats afterwards?
Do they really cover those seats after the game?
@ Steve L.:
The evidence I’ve seen suggests it. I’ve seen them covered for non-Yankee events (college football, graduations, etc.) Also check out the background shots when one of the local stations is doing an on-field live report following Opening Day, i.e.
The morning pigeons & seagulls can dump on the field all they want, but don’t you dare venture by the thrones of the friends of Commandants Levine & Trost.
