      Today is Christmas Day at WasWatching (the general baseball site, not the Yankee version of WasWatching). Ho-ho-ho, Merry Christmas!! Statistics shall soon be presented to the masses showing everyone how awful your team is, and if they don’t show you awful your team is right now then these stats will show you how awful they will be in October. Nevertheless, it will all point back to the one man who put together this roster — he is our grinch and not some lovely Elf.

      Missing the point. The 16-9 stretch (.640) more properly belongs to the hot stretch (.833) that preceded it than the cold stretch (0-4, .000) that followed.

      In other words, the main idea of this thread, that the Yanks have been playing mediocre ball for a month now, is false. My slice shows it’s been one godawful series.

      Well, uh, I think 4 games counts as, ummm, FOUR games, and 25 games counts as, ummm…TWENTY-FIVE games.

      Last I checked 25 was uh…ummm…ulp…lemme see here…carry the two…ummm…

      21 MORE games.
