I caught a little bit of the beginning of the Yankees-Blue Jays game last night.  I saw Toronto throwing the ball all over the place, allowing runs to score, like a bunch of Little Leaguers.  And, I saw their pitcher, Ricky Romero, throwing a hissy fit when he thought his team missed a double play opportunity.

I did not see a lot.  But, what I saw was ugly.

The Jays have now lost 10 of their last 12 games and they look like a team who has thrown in the towel and is just going through the motions.

Seeing how it appears that his players have checked out,  I wonder if  Toronto skipper John Farrell may be out of a job soon even though he has one more year left on his contract?

Everyone knows that AA is the best GM in baseball though. (sarcasm, but many tout this)

Injuries are never an excuse, but you have to think, losing three-fifths of their rotation, then Bautista and now Lawrie is just impossible to overcome The Blue Jays are probably cognizant of that and just want the season to be over at this point.

Let’s hope they are mailing it in, we sure have alot of games left against them.

      @ 77yankees:
I don’t think blaming injuries is an excuse. It happens. You can get by on depth for only so long, but the reason why bench players are who they are is because they’re not good enough to start.

That said, I don’t think the Jays are mailing it in, they’re just having a bad run. It happens, the Yanks were (are?) going through such a stretch.

Will Middlebrooks out for season, the Red Sox get hit again.
