Here Come The Halos?
Don’t look now, but, the Angels have now won 11 of their last 12 games.
This makes for an interesting wildcard standings.
Right now, the O’s and A’s have the two spots in the ‘card chase. And, the Rays and Angels are each one game back of them.
Might as well throw the Yankees into the mix too since they are just one game ahead of Baltimore and just a half-game ahead of Oakland.
Whomever does not win the A.L. East will have to battle three other teams to get the wildcard spots. And, if the teams in the east are not careful, it might be the A’s and Angels who grab the two wildcard spots – now that the Halos are on a roll.

Kind of on a related note… If the Yankees and O’s end the season tied for the division and for a Wild Card Game spot… which one gets the division and which one gets the Wild Card Game???
New York finished 9-9 against Baltimore this season. Had the Orioles won Sunday, they would have received home-field advantage in a playoff game if the teams finish tied atop the division. Baltimore would have also had home-field advantage if the Yankees and Orioles finish tied for both wild-card berths.
Now, if the teams are tied at the end of the regular season, record within the division will be the tiebreaker.
Those Angels are still on the march, aren’t they?
