Yankees Magic Number Is 14, But…

Is it just me, or, is the excitement of the Yankees sweeping the day-night doubleheader yesterday not as impressive as it appears because New York only scored 6 runs over the two games against a Blue Jays pitching staff that is 25th overall in the major leagues in ERA?

It appears this Orioles team is not going away. If they are not the most resilient team in baseball, then I don’t know who is. We can talk about all the anomalies in run differential, their record in 1-run games, etc. but I’m starting to think it may just be their year. There’s something going on there that’s beyond the numbers.
On the flip side, Pettitte, Phelps & Ichiro looked good. Soriano pitched twice in one day, and in 4 straight games.
