Hey, wait a minute, didn’t Kevin Long “fix” Curtis Granderson back in August of 2010?
Yeah, right…
By the way, those 182 K’s are a Yankees team record – shattering the mark that Granderson set last year (of 169).
No other Yankee in team history has ever struck out more than 160 times a season.

…and he still leads the team in home runs and RBI, with the only legit shot on the team to get to 100 RBI before the end of the season.
Go to BaseballMusings.com and check Granderson’s RBI%.
Granderson’s RBI% is 14.59%.
For a point of comparison, Ike Davis is at 15.03% and David DeJesus is at 17.23%. (Josh Hamilton is at 22.69%.)
Granderson has a lot of RBI because he has a zillion RBI chances. But, he’s not a great RBI guy.
Some other comparison points:
Adam Jones has a lower BRS% than Curtis.
So does Corey Hart.
And Shin Soo-Choo.
And J.J. Hardy.
And Paul Konerko.
And Carlos Quentin.
And Jason Hayward.
And Ichiro.
And A-Rod (but I bet you knew that already).
And Bryce Harper.
And…wait for it…Derek Jeter. (Uh-huh, that’s right. 13.9% for Jeets.)
Last year, Granderson was much higher up the list, at 18.2%
His strikeouts have worn me out to the point where I think we should change his name to Kurtis Granderson, and change his stadium intro to “Now striking out for the New York Yankees… Number 14… Kurtis Granderson… Number 14.”

KuHRtis Granderon would be more accurate.
