      You think what Joey LaRussa said to Melky Mesa after the game was similar to what Lou Brown said to Willie Mays Hayes after he made that basket catch on Opening Day in Major League?……”Don’t ever do that @#$% again!!!”

      All I was thinking was: boy, A-Rod can’t win for anything. He finally gets a legit, no-doubt-about-it-nothing-can-stop-it game-winning single…and it gets prevented in the most unfathomable manner possible.

      If teams tend to hit in sine waves (my belief), then the Yankees may go really deep into the playoffs. But watching man after man get stranded in so many ways I thought I’d break a molar……..

      Amazing a team like Baltimore playing like this w/ cast-offs, mostly from good teams 2-3 years ago. More than a little weird, almost supernatural ;)

      Lets just hope we are not setting up for a disappointment next week.. Is the pendulum swinging back in our favor finally?.. Who knows, but as long as the FAT LADY hasn’t sung, maybe, just maybe her time is not until the end of October! A win today would be GREAT, but next week is looming large for the postseason. I am more nervous than a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs…
