So, I Think I Pay Too Much Attention To Baseball
At five minutes past noon today, I turned on WFAN (660 AM) for a moment. The instant that I did it, I heard an unidentified person talking about the Oakland A’s. For a nano-second, I was not aware of who was speaking. But, in the next heartbeat, I quickly realized that it was Dennis Eckersley – by the sound of his voice and his speech patterns.
What is wrong with me that I can tell Dennis Eckersley by listening to him for less than four seconds? (And, keep in mind that I never watch NESN – unless it’s for a few minutes when the MLB Network cuts into it – and I can count the number of times that I have watched baseball on TBS with two hands.)
I probably just watch and listen to baseball too much. And, somehow, I have cataloged the Eck in my brain during the process.

Guess you’re out of baseball “angst period”
That’s not a “bug”, that’s a feature!
