“Non-Michael/Watson” Yankees teams, meaning post-2001 Yankees, are only 2-3 in ALDS Game 4′s when facing teams other than the Minnesota Twins.

The A-Rod story just grew to epic proportions….

Yup. The air waves and cable wires, and the internet, will be burning with it.
Bigger than that.
A-Rod did all the right things after it, which will help. Now they need to go out and win this game.
After winning game 3, I’m Ok with game 4. The key will be the top of the first. If Hughes gets out of that without getting lit up, he’ll give them 5-6 reasonable innings.
The key will be if the Yanks can put up 3-4 runs vs. Saunders before the O’s pen can get into it.
Oops, that’s 2 keys.

With 2 hr’s, maybe even bigger. So does Ibanez start with the lefty starting? I’d say he deserves it, but you never know with platooning; Rodriguez may be @ 3B, Nunez @ DH

I don’t want to see Hughes get lit up but if it’s a choice between (1) the Yankee offense destroying Saunders and Hughes being his usual mediocre self or (2) Hughes is lights out but the offense is out to lunch yet again, I’ll take #1. I like our chances better when our hitters are actually hitting the ball and scoring runs.
