O’s-Yankees ALDS Game 3, After 7 Innings

Miguel González looks like the lovechild of Cliff Lee and Greg Maddux this evening, huh?
He’s giving everyone a blueprint on how to pitch the Yankees.

Yankees now 3 outs away from depending on Phil Hughes to save their post-season bacon.
And, A-Rod is one At Bat away from being the talk of the town tomorrow, good or bad.
Great point by Smotlz just now – regarding the Yankees bullpen being somewhat rusty when called upon tomorrow.
And, you know Jeter is hurting if he comes out of this game before it’s over.
This game is torture. The Yankees don’t deserve to win.
Well, at least A-Rod can’t make the last out in the 9th.

Still gotta hope for some 9th inning magic…

But, if he whiffs again, I swear, stuff will come out of the stands.
Unbelievable!!!

Called it!
Now, of course, Soriano or Robertson will blow it, if it’s still tied after 9.
Thank you Raul. And why Ibanez didn’t start this game, I’ll never understand …
I’m still so damn frustrated from the first 8 innings that I couldn’t totally delight in Raul’s dinger.
If they lose this one, it will be interesting to see if Chavez is the 3B and Ibanez is the DH tomorrow.
So now we’re tied. Let the agony resume.
Gotta give Girardi his props for pinch hitting for A-Rod. Is there any doubt this game is over if not for that move?
Don’t get burned by McClouth..
I take back my previous comment. Still think Girardi is an idiot for not having Raul in the starting line-up.

Nope.

Yup.
Soriano is a heart attack waiting to happen …
phewww….
YES!
Great positioning, Mr. Nix!

Just wait until Robertson comes in.
Yanks need to do it this inning. Chris Davis against Soriano or Robertson scares me.
Hope they move the ball around and not try to end the game on 1 swing

Haha ya right.
You know Jeter must be seriously hurt to come out of the game. Damn. I told my husband earlier this evening, if we had nine Jeters on the team, nobody would beat us. He’s the only guy who comes to play every day. I hope to God he is OK.
Oh wait. Davis is out..thank Goodness, that dude kills straight fastballs.
Back to the futility … Jesus, Granderson sucks.

One can only hope, especially since they were giving Teix all of LF

Who did Cashman give up for him again?
Yeah, really….what Ripken said…..who had the Yanks in an extra inning playoff game with Jeter & A-Rod out of the game in the office pool?
It’s really mind boggling that a team can be so successful in the regular season and struggle so mightily in the post-season.
LMJ229 wrote:
Not really. Look at who they beat in the regular season and look at who they play in the post-season.
Robbie was dealing tonight!!!

It’s the beginning of the Yankees youth movement!
Watch Jayson Nix hit the GW HR now……

As bad as Jackson’s been in the ALDS, Granderson has been even worse.

I was just thinking that!

Never mind.

haha close

so close …
This is pure agony for me. Is anyone enjoying this game?
LMJ229 wrote:
They only way to enjoy this one is if the Yankees win. Until then, it’s agony.
Looks like another 12:30-1:00 am bed time tonight.

I wonder if the game in Oakland will be over before this one.

If they win, it’s just relief. The joy never seems to outweigh the agony.
I was joking with a co-worker who is a Tigers fan that at least I’d get to sleep before her tonight. Maybe not.
Oh, f—
CATCH THE GD BALL!
Whew!!
Holy crap.
SICK!
Goodnight 77 …
