I think tonight was an “ace” type effort.
You’re usually facing a good hitting team in the playoffs. Facing a team that can hit twice in 6 days is not easy to do. Lots of “aces” fail this test. Those that don’t become immortal: Mathewson, Dean, Gibson, Koufax, Hershiser, Schilling, etc.
