Wonder how many numbers A-Rod will collect tonight? You know, when Yankee fans wanted him to put up some numbers this postseason, that wasn’t exactly what we had in mind….

Already heard the comment that both of these ladies were right handed and of course Arod struck out!

So far not digging the strike zone. Gardner got a bad call and Hughes got jobbed.

Benching A-Rod doesn’t work if Chavez is actually going to play far worse in all facets of the game.

Somebody wake me up- I’m having that game 6 of the 2003 World Series nightmare again.

So much for Cashman’s big, hairy monster team. They’re not scaring anyone.

Eduardo Nunez is a big hairy monster!!!

If Cano reaches in the 9th does A-Rod pinch hit for Ibanez against the lefty Coke?

I’m gonna say no. They’ll just bring in a rightie.

I can’t understand why the Yankees didn’t convert Nunez to an outfielder this year. After all of his fielding troubles at short, why not convert him to an outfielder to replace Swisher? The kid can hit. And it would make us younger and faster. And Jeter still has one more year on his contract with a player option after that. Did the Yankees plan on sitting the kid behind Jeter for 2 more years? Or have him be a utility player?

This is what drives me nuts about Cashman. I really don’t think he has a plan. He operates like the little Dutch boy – just plugging up holes as they appear.

Well, I give Nunez, Tex and Cano cedit for getting us to the point where that 3-2 pitch to Ibanez was interesting.

It was a close one, in the end. But, it’s still a loss.

No way this team now wins four in a row. Tigers can punch their ticket to the World Series.

That Granderson trade is looking worse every day.

Interesting that they were willing to pinch-hit with Swisher after Ibanez. A-Rod is really in the doghouse, so it appears.

They gave it a ride there. People can say what they want but they’re battling, its just not happening. That said if I’m Detroit I don’t let the Yanks win tomorrow.

It just kills me that we are pitching so well and they have no closer and we are about to get swept.

It’s worse than I even thought back at the time.

How ironic would it be if we finally start hitting tomorrow and CC gets lit up?

Well, I don’t know about the CC end. But, now that they’re down 0-3 and all the pressure is off, it would not shock me to see Cano, Granderson, Swisher and the others start to hit the ball…

It’s hard to choke when you’re already dead.

      @ LMJ229:

Of course Nunez should have been switched to the outfield, who couldn’t see that at the time, Brian Cashman that’s who.

If George was around there would be eye exams all around for this group of hitters.

@ JeremyM: I think there were at least 10 strike calls that were Justin Verlander calls.

@ Steve L.:Wonder if the phone calls are already being made to LA to see if ARod will be added to the crew out there with the high spending new Dodger owners.

Yeah, he was getting about 6 inches off of the outside corner. Don’t know that it mattered, but it was rather annoying and certainly didn’t help!
