40 pitches for CC in the first two innings. That’s not a good start.
Why not? You don’t trust Derek Lowe?

LOL.
I am digging watching the game with the 4 PM start with the sun and shadows on the field. That, plus the October chill, reminds me of 10/2/78.
I can’t see this one as of now- what is Tex doing out there? Two errors in one inning? Well, one that should’ve been anyway.
While it’s never over until it’s over, I believe the fat lady has been seen warming up.
What a competitive series. I see an onslaught of runs in the Yankees future, though, it probably won’t be this year.
Girardi’s emptying the bench, looks like this is it.
Big Hairy Monster: 2 hits.
Reminds me a bit of the Rangers of the 90′s. Offensive studs in the reg season, disappear in post season. Frustrating, and a bit embarrassing for a franchise with such high expectations. I mean the Tigers aren’t THAT good.
Misery 2 is over.
yup. Can’t say you didn’t see it coming.
Must have been a terrible feeling when your entire season is on the line on a Jayson Nix ab.
Delmon Young is a class act? WTF?!
Well, that’s it. See ya next year.
I watched the first 2 1/2 innings of this one in TV. Then I listened to the bottom of the 3rd inning as I drove to my son’s Little League game.
I was cut off from that point until one of the mom’s at the game told me it was 7-1, Tigers, in the 8th. (She got the score off her smart phone.)
Driving home from my son’s game, I got the very last of the post-game on the radio where Leyland was talking about them not sitting around for 5 or 6 days doing nothing like the last time they went to the series.
Sounds like I was spared a lot of misery today, thanks to my son’s game. (Last game of the Fall Ball season, under the lights tonight.)
