Cardinals fans must be feeling pretty lousy today.
So, what’s worse, losing an LCS the way the Yankees did this year, or, the way the Cardinals did?

If the loss in the ALCS is inevitable, then losing the way the Yanks did is what I would choose. There’s less of an emotional investment, more days of your life back. I feel it’s a win wrapped up in a loss. I would be pissed for weeks after going to a game 7 and losing
This years loss was relatively easy to take because once the ALCS started, except for the 9th inning of game 1, the Yanks had nothing offensively, so it felt inevitable – no false hope at all. Being one game from the WS and being blown out on the road is way worse.
Not for nothing, but if the Yanks had made the Series, this weekend’s games at the Stadium would be a mess with the impending storm in the forecast for Sunday through Tuesday.
