It should be a fun 2012 World Series. Who are you rooting for?
I think that I have to root for the Giants. Brian Sabean, Dick Tidrow, Fred Stanley, Joe Lefebvre, Dave Righetti, Hensley Meulens and Roberto Kelly all work for San Francisco and have Yankees roots. So, I wouldn’t mind seeing them get a ring this year.
True, but most of those guys got rings in 2010, right? I’ll pull for Detroit- it’s been awhile since 1984 and a good friend of mine is a Tiger’s fan. Either way it’s always kind of fun when the established franchises make it.
Los Gigantes are my adopted NL team, being a resident of the Bay Area for the past 14 years. I was hoping for them to get in so as to destroy the Tiggers and avoid a replay of the 06 series. Giants in 6.
I can see the Tigers taking Game 1 under Verlander, and the Giants sweeping from there. The Giants will steal a game by torching Detroit’s bullpen at least once in this series.
I saw that Steve Balboni is a scout for the Giants and he gets a ring now too.
They really are a former Yankees shop over there.
