Interesting read. I went to college in St. Louis, Mo. so I know the general area where this guy grew up. It was funny to read about him going to boarding school in Clayton which is actually where my college was. Today, it would be a 20 minute drive (without traffic) from Todt’s neighborhood to Clayton. Back then I suppose a family without a car had to trek into the city, take the street car out and then ride a livery car?
Anyway, neat story.
