This morning, I can’t help but wonder if the 2013 A.L. East standings are going to end up like the 2012 NFC East final regular season standings…

Could it be, that, one team will totally tank and finish last where the rest of the teams are bunched up and only separated by a few wins?  And, one team who everyone thinks will make the post-season will just miss out?

What do you think?  In any event, what are your predictions for who is going to finish where in the A.L. East next season?

I was actually thinking this the other day. Everyone is going to have like 88-92 wins and then one or 2 teams will have like 60 wins.

The only difference, from a NY perspective, is that the Giants, this year, get a buddy pass since they won last year and had a bitch of a schedule this season (as a result). Granted, they could have won one more game, somewhere, it this may have made a huge difference. But, overall, no one is pounding on them this year for missing the playoffs.

The Yankees, in 2013, won’t get this pass from the fans or media. If they win 89 games and miss the post-season in ’13, it’s going to be open season on them – esp. given what little they have done this off-season.

      It could happen.
