      Still amazes me that Aaron STILL doesn’t get the respect as a player that he should have. To play that many years, and just keep hitting like that…And Dick Allen probably would have been in the HOF had he not pissed so many of the writers off at the time, but like most things, you can’t always have both ways….

      Aaron was very quiet, in terms of his personality, and didn’t play in a major market. He also played before cable TV and the internet. I have to think this all works against him getting the respect he deserves.

      @ Steve L.:So did Mays, Mantle, McCovey, etc… I guess not hitting 50 bombs in a season made his perception as “good with a long career… Great, for a long time………
