Here is the 2012-2016 MLB/MLBPA Basic Agreement.
Is there anything in there to help baseball and/or the Yankees deal with this latest A-Rod situation.

Article XII (B)/Conduct Detrimental or Prejudicial to Baseball is broad enough to where the commissioner could discipline a player under that provision in the agreement.
Highly doubtful that the commissioner would use those broad powers, given that no other player has ever been suspended for the mere suspicion of PED use, even in the face of corroborating evidence such as invoices, ledger entries, etc.
Also, it’s important to read MLB’s drug policy and not just the CBA.

No.

Interesting. But, agreed, it’s hard to use that on A-Rod when you allow all the DUI guys and wife beaters to play the game.
Here’s that clause:
Players may be disciplined for just cause for conduct that is materially
detrimental or materially prejudicial to the best interests of Baseball
including, but not limited to, engaging in conduct in violation of federal, state or local law. The Commissioner and a Club shall not discipline a Player for the same act or conduct under this provision. In cases of this type, a Club may only discipline a Player, or take other adverse action against him, when the Commissioner defers the disciplinary decision to the Club.

Possibly. Then again, you look at players like Barry Bonds, Bill Lee, Dave Kingman, Toe Nash and Elijah Dukes.
If a team or MLB wants to scuttle a player, they will find a way to do it.
Oh, I’m sure the MLBPA will gladly step aside and let the Yankees back out of A-Rod’s $114 remainder of his contract….
on the same day Kate Upton and I get stranded on a desert island with a lifetime supply of buffalo wings & beer. (Keeping it G-rated):-)

HAHAHAHA! Awesome.
One catch: she’s already on a desert island with me so it’s going to be hard for her to hang out with you too

Yes, but what if she’s wearing a Joba #62 jersey?
She may as well just be dressed as Grimace from McDonalds then.
