Jack Curry Tweets the following today –

Granderson just jogged out to LF to shag fly balls from that new position. Cashman said Granderson and Gardner will both play CF and LF this spring and Yankees will determine best option for season. As Yankees consider flip-flopping Gardner and Granderson in CF/LF, Cashman said, “We have to decide if it weakens us or makes us better?” Girardi on possible Granderson/Gardner switch: “We’re going to toy with it and see if we like it.” He added, “If we do, we’ll stay with it.”

    Marc Normandin likes the idea.

Me? I agree. Granderson reminds me of Terrance Long out there with his Magellan routes out there.

Toward the end of his career, Long may have been the worst defensive CF in the majors. Curtis isn’t good, but last year’s numbers notwithstanding, he isn’t that bad.

From the standpoint that Gardner is probably the best CF the Yanks have, defensively speaking, I agree with this move.
