Ryan Ruocco, Kyle Kesses…
..what is it about the Fordham guys that the Yankees love so much? Or, is it Michael Kay opening the doors for them?

Knowing very little about Fordham — its location and the fact that most students are locals — the FU/Yankees connection has to be about the makeup of the student body, right? I imagine the random kid from Philly or Boston or Chicago isn’t a Yankees fan but that the majority of kids that go there are from NY/NJ/CT and are fans of the local teams.
I’ve been to a few games up at Fordham (to watch St. Joseph’s, where a friend of mine was an assistant baseball coach for four years). Not a bad place to just hang out for a few hours. Their ballpark is tiny, only a few rows of bleacher-style seats behind homeplate, but it’s fun to go and foul balls by the dozens make their way into the hands of spectators.
Sheppard taught there too, didn’t he?
