      He pretty much side steps more than he answers.

      Interesting about the retired numbers…though now Mariano will get the newest plaque in Monument Park.

      It’s interesting he doesn’t regret the Pineda/Montero trade yet, and he seems to be counting on Pineda’s return.

      Also interesting is his lack of anger at Cashman’s injury in the parachute jump.

      I didn’t agree with this trade at all but at least there was a rationale to it. And given how Montero hasn’t distinguished himself yet, I’d say it’s far too soon to write off the trade as anything but “incomplete” right now.
