Just saw this on Facebook: This date in MLB History in 2002: Outfielder Ruben Rivera is released by the Yankees for swiping Derek Jeter’s glove from Jeter’s locker and selling it on the black market for $2,500.
That was 11 years ago.
By the way, unrelated, in the last 12 years, the Yankees have won one World Series.
