      There are a number of historically bad ump calls that come to mind. The worst for me was the Mauer double against the Yankees called foul by Phil Cuzzi in 2009 ACLS. Some others may have had more significance (Don Dekinger) but Cuzzi was so obviously wrong despite looking right at the ball land that it is incomprehensible why he made the foul call. Others such as Dekinger or Beltran’s “foul ball” in Santana’s “no hitter” were bang-bang so somewhat excusable.
