Is this the new meme on this site? Posting the lineup and complaining about how unimposing it is?

When five of nine expected starters are on the DL, what sort of lineup would one expect?

I don’t understand why he’s resting Overbay in Game 1. Yes, he’s old. And, yes, it’s a doubleheader. But, it’s May, not August. And, it’s not like you’re worried about him long-term, unless they are?

      Ditto Wells and Nix.

Playing Joseph, Gonzalez, Stewart and Nelson is like spotting the other team four free innings. That’s 12 easy outs right there. Boesch ain’t no great shakes either.

And, Ichiro and Gardner are two of the same thing right now, with the sticks.

Who cares if it’s Elmer Fudd, Pepe Le Pew, and Porky Pig manning the Yankees outfield – as long as they win.

And winning will happen more often than not when that same team only allows 1 run in 18 innings. How is that not the bigger story?

Great pitching trumps ugly line-up once again :) I am thoroughly enjoying this season so far.

Because the Yanks organization has zero talent that is capable to come up and contribute to the team. ;-)

As bad as the lineup is, wouldn’t it be worse if Overbay, Wells and Nix got injured, too?

      Well, maybe not Nix…

Bottom line is if the Yanks are 17-11 on May 1st, nobody will be crying about who’s in the lineup.

      Well, not quite nobody… :-)

At what point this season do the Pinstripe-Pollyanna throng, despite their Yankees-blinders, raise the white flag on this season?

Well, as for this Pinstripe Polyanna, I would say, not March 17, and definitely not May 15 either. :-)

(Having fun with this, but it’s late…)

      NICCCCCCCEEEE!!

And for the record, after the game on May 1st, the Yanks were……17-10.

Damn, should have taken that to Vegas.
