Yankees Fans Can’t Stand To Watch?

Via Brian Costa –
Through Wednesday, the average ratings for Yankee games on the YES Network were down 38% compared to the same period last season, according to Nielsen figures.
The drop is even more remarkable when you consider that last year’s ratings were the Yankees’ lowest since 2003.
Hal, Randy and Lonn can’t exactly blame that on the weather and the kids being in school, can they?
It would be 39% down if you didn’t include Lurch and Secret Squirrel proving they’re watching by have a teenage girl text fest with Kay so he name drops them during the game.
I have to admit, I’ve pretty much stopped watching. It’s just too frustrating. I’ll check in on the score and watch a bit but when their futility starts to piss me off I’ll change the channel and then check in on AtBat once in awhile. If our pitcher gives up any runs, I feel like the game is over – and it usually is.
As far as the attendance at the stadium, let’s be honest, the fans have nothing to be excited about. Our team roster is loaded with overpaid, has-been players and most fans feel that our GM does not have the ingenuity to fix the team.

LOL.

I would say that concerned fans feel this way – not all Yankees fans. And, I have the hate mail to prove it. 🙂
