No, not for Kei Igawa, Cito Culver or Lousie Meanwell; but, for his A-Rod comments.

I think Cash read my comments in the previous post on the subject.

Too late! He’s officialy an executive charm school washout. The key to that training is to always bite your effing tounge and not snap back in anger. Especially not in public. They teach you that on the first day. Take measure of your response; pick your spot; then shoot the guy in the head later under circumstances that make the victim look bad and you look thoughtful and remorseful at “How we got to this sad state of affairs”.

      @ Steve L.:

The apology was warranted in this case. No apology was required of Cashman for Igawa; we don’t know the organizational thought process or motivation on drafting Culver so we’ll just leave that one to the side for now.

As fans of the baseball club, we’re not entitled to an apology for Cashman’s marital infidelity. It’s got nothing to do with us and I still haven’t understood why you and a few others are so totally obsessed with the details of Cashman’s sex life.

@ #15: Good post. Did Cashman ever hear the adage about praising publicly and criticizing privately?

Oh, and can the media finALLY acknowledge what a wimp “tough-guy Bri” really is? For all of his threatening to call Alex, he didn’t have the guts to do so, yesterday or today. Hal was the one who talked to A-Rod, and that was *after* A-Rod approached him. But hey, Bri did send him an email. Whoo hoo!

As for MJ’s comment about Cashman’s mistress, it became an issue when Cashman had her arrested, and it came out that he 1) allowed that stalker to sit in the Yankee family section, potentially putting the Yankee wives and children in danger, and 2) wrote a letter of recommendation for that loon. When the GM brings crazy, dangerous people around the team, that becomes all of our business.

Asking for an apology for Lousie Meanwell is out of line. (and typical of you Steve, I don’t know why you even have a Yankee blog)

The Yanks and Cashman should be annoyed with Arod, since this is an issue that has happened before:

Who announced Arod needed surgery – Arod
Who announced the date for that surgery – Arod
Who announced he was ready to resume playing games – Arod.

      It’s all about Arod.

Joke or not, it’s gotten tiresome at best and creepy at worst.

@ Corey: Let’s review — the Yankees don’t allow average fans to go stand in front of the moat, even during pre-games, even when it means that for things like Old Timers’ Day, it looks like a completely empty house. They also don’t allow fans to bring laptop computers in to the stadium, or briefcases in. But hey, allowing a stalker with 13 (!) restraining orders against her to sit with the Yankee wives, girlfriends, and children is A-OK. Got it. Thanks!

One really has nothing to do with the other. “Average fans” don’t get to go to the restricted areas because they don’t have a ticket granting them access to those areas. Meanwell had a ticket, her personality disorder notwithstanding. What, other individuals in those sections don’t have personal and/or crimianl issues? You know this how, exactly?

Cause the rest of the people in the Stadium are angels themselves? Please..

Lisa seeing as you seem to have all the details please explain how an alleged stalker would get access to those tickets. You know seeing as she was such a stalker? And how is this woman dangerous? If she was such a stalker why was it not reported that she was ever removed or ejected from the stadium??? If you had done your research you would see that those restraining orders were part of “controlling the media” against this poor woman just as Cashman said yesterday “we want Alex back, that’s not an issue”….”we want to control the message and when”. So you’re telling me the message about Louise Meanwell the underdog wasn’t controlled??? Especially considering old Cash Man is now having to pay his ex wife one million big ones a year. It was all a strategy as far as I can see it.

PS …… Before continuing to live out your dream as a blogger you should maybe take a few high school creative writing courses. If that won’t fit into your busy schedule maybe throw in a footnote or five showing where you receive your stories from. I think you need to get out of the house and get some fresh air and exercise to get a few new ideas for writing some children’s books. Maybe send out a few resumes or something. I would leave out the fact you’re a blogger though. Jussssst sayin’.

      HAPPY BLOGGING DEAR!!!!!

This does not apply to fans sleeping with Cashman, or their spouses.

Which is why I never take too seriously what the guys in the papers say about any injured Yankee. It’s almost impossible to separate the truth from the B.S.

He’s eating well on that $3 million salary while the team gets worse by the year.
