Damn, I was really hoping there was gonna be a loud crack of thunder while Scooter was up there!

Ah, the good old days, when the Stadium just had the organist playing, and there was no gigantic TV in center field, unceasingly blasting commercials at ear-splitting volume all day long. And the TV network didn’t immediately cut away to commercials as soon as the game was delayed. On second thought, maybe that’s still better than listening to John and Susan share their pearls of wisdom.

Today’s fans will never know what they’ve missed. Thanks for making me feel nostalgic, Steve. And you kids stay off my lawn!

      The de-evolution of Yankee telecasts:

Scooter (1983): “Holy Cow, we just got some cannolis delivered to the booth courtesy of Viola Fettuccini in West Orange, New Jersey….”

Michael Kay (2013): “I just got a text message from one of my friends….”
