Good Trivia Question

Via Baseball Digest: There is only one pitcher who surrendered a home run to Cecil Fielder during his 50-homer season in 1990 and to Prince Fielder during his 50-homer campaign in 2007. Who is he?
(I know the answer. Do you? Hint: He was a 6-time free agent.)
Wow. I ran through 5 of my usual suspects before I gave up and just looked the answer up. Fantastic trivia question.
To be fair, it was a bit sad that this guy’s name came up so late in my thoughts.
This is just a wild ass guess, is it Jamie Moyer?
@ Garcia:
Nope.
I looked it up, too. Good trivia question.
FWIW, I had to cheat and look up the answer too.
B-R.com makes it so easy to cheat!

Oh man, you guys cheated…I guess I’ll look it up now. I keep coming back hoping to find the answer.
It’s Tom Gordon π

Well I saw after I cheated.
Good question. Was trying to think of the pitchers that were active during that span. I don’t know of anyone who was starting or relieving either year whose career spanned that timeframe, so I figured it was someone who converted to reliever. That’s as far as I got.

Too bad his father is “dead” to him.
Related, Flash Gordon has one son who made the majors, Dee, and another who is a good prospect.
