    TEX	3	4	17	23	.429

Couldn’t play any better against the Blue Jays…and couldn’t play any worse against the Red Sox.  To me, that sums up the Yankees season this year.

The Botox are just flat better than us right now. Oakland too. I figured losing Elderberry would help level the playing field, but then we lost Gardy. Someone, not us, must have found a way to get Salty and Napoli out. Buckles didn’t look sharp last night, yet we couldn’t find a way to stay in the game.

Too bad we can’t replay those series against SDP, and NYM, and those road games against CHW. Losing those winnable series might cost us the post season.

FWIW, I talked to a friend who works for the Yankees yesterday. I asked him about the post-season chances. His answer: As an employee, I say that we’re going to make it. As a fan, I know we’re not going to make it.

I wonder how many teams have beat the Yankees 13+ times in a season since 1996? I have to check that one.

The four losses to the Mets is really starting to sting now…

Not even close. The difference between the two teams this year is way more than one player. They also sat Victorino last night. Didn’t matter.

      @ rsr:

Can’t say I disagree. Botox got it going on right now. Our old guys look good… for their age, our young guys look marginal at best, and our pitching staff looks like they are on fumes.

Since opening day, the bloodsox have raked Yankee pitching like they were stealing signs. I wonder what happened to the Patriots’ sign-stealing cameramen?

I wish I had Poppi’s HGH concession…. I’d reroute it to Vernon Wells; it’s his only hope.
