A-Rod has given new meaning to the term stalling.

Disgraced New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez was busted in the ladies room at the Delano Hotel in Miami with a mystery brunette who most certainly was not his blond girlfriend Torrie Wilson, sources exclusively tell Confidenti@l.

A-Rod had been dining at the UMI Sushi & Sake Bar at the trendy South Beach hotel on Saturday night with an entourage. A hotel guest tells us the Yankee, who is facing suspension over his performance-enhancing drug scandal, was first spotted getting hot and heavy with the unidentified woman near the elevators in the hotel lobby early Sunday morning.

The duo soon disappeared into the women’s bathroom, where we hear they spent nearly 20 steamy minutes. A-Rod and the mystery lady allegedly became flustered and decided to end their toilet tryst when they were interrupted by another hotel guest.

I sincerely wish that Aaron Boone never played basketball.

With respect to AROD, looking the other way has become a fulltime job for Yankee fans. He has inherited Ted Kennedy’s title as “America’s Oldest Juvenile Delinquent”.

Why is this story remotely interesting or relevant? He’s having sex with a hot girl in the bathroom of a bar? Big deal. That’s “embarrassing the stripes” to you? Why so puritanical?

You’re right. I am sure, if asked about this behavior/display, he would say that Brian Cashman taught him everything that he knows…

Way to go, you’ve just managed to sound as dumb as the schizophrenic troll that’s been ruining this place for the last 13 months.

And then the goat said…. “This is a private matter between me and A-Rod”.

You see… there is a limit beyond which you’ll admit A-Rod’s behavoir is a bad thing for the team (and baseball), it just hasn’t crossed your line yet. This type of stuff, if it’s true, will often come back to haunt the guy as an assault charge, or a public lewdity charge, or a drunk in public charge, or something along those lines. If that happens, bad for the Yankees, it throws a wet blanket over the clubhouse when teammates get asked about it, and it’s bad for baseball. This is not some 22 year old kid that just made it to the Show and doesn’t have the experience to know better. This is a careless lughead with no regard for consequences of his actions. Guy has the means to chase and get all the tail he wants, without doing it in a public place. Wouldn’t his limo have been more comfortable? You don’t have to be a Boy Scout, but you do need to be smart about it. The father figure he lacked and always chased would have told him as much when he was a teenager, and would tell him the same thing today.

It would only be smart to stay out of the freakin headlines while you’re trying to convince people you are the victim of an unjust witch hunt.

Guy sounds out of control and hellbent on self-destruction.

Times change. I am sure that Mickey did a few DUIs in his day too. But, that would not make it right for a player to do it today.

That was decades before Al Gore invented the Internet, and The Information Age or Era of Social Media. Why is it that whenever embarassment or scandal is brought to the doorstep of this organization, the name is always Cashman or Rodriguez? It’s always one of those two names.
