He’ll be a free agent after this season. And, you just signed a new center fielder. Does this mean Gritty Gutty gets traded for a pitcher?

Or, do you play him in left, use Soriano as a DH, and patch together in right?

He’s a “Keeper”. Unless he was part of a big trade for a top starter…. Not for #3 type, I’m talking “Ace caliber”. So, it aint happening, right?

A player heading into his walk year won’t fetch much of a return, except possibly for another player in the same contract positon.

Unless, the acquiring team thinks they can extend said player before he hits the market.

Source: Yankees receiving significant interest in Brett Gardner and willing to trade him. They’re not shopping him, but they’re listening.
