      Jay-Z just got Cano a 10Y/$240M contract.

Seems like the Mariners hat may become more famous now.

Bye Robbie. It’s been nice. First base is just as far from the plate in Seattle, but something tells me it will look a bit further this year…

I’ll definitely miss him, he was an amazing ballplayer.

Still, I’m glad the Yankees aren’t the ones to make a 10 year mistake for a change.

My thoughts too. Unless the M’s sign a couple more bats, RC will be walking to first a lot.

      @ Greg H.:
I guess the M’s could sign Choo and Cruz to pair with Cano, Ackley, and Seager. That’s the makings of a decent offense, though there’s a lot of age risk there with Cano and Choo both 31 years old (since I can’t imagine Choo signs for less than five years).

Can that team win enough to get past Texas, Anaheim, and Oakland? Hard to say at this point. They have Hultzen/Walker, where one of them can be spun out for a hitter on a bad contract…
