MJ mentioned that he was having issues getting here home and work. I have no issues at home or otherwise.

I would suspect it’s a routing problem from an ISP, but that’s really speculation. Plus any network admin would know it’s always the networks fault. ;)

Who is your web host? Is it Peer 1 Network ?

    3. January 7th, 2014 | 11:18 pm

I think it has to do with a plugin
site works from smarts phones and the like
people have been having problems on PCs
      and, only from the index
if you follow a link to a post, you can get in no problem

I don’t think so, personally. I’m on a desktop and I got here no problem. I think it might be a Cablevision thing.

Also, MJ said he couldn’t get here via his phone.

By the way, FYI, I asked MJ to do a traceroute to waswatching.com and I did one myself. We had different paths due to different ISPs, but we both stopped at digitalocean-ic-302450-nyk-b6.c.telia.net (62.115.34.14). I then went onto carlton.skiltech.com [192.81.210.76] while he did not.

I’d be curious to see the routes of the other people who can’t get to WW and to know what their ISPs were.

Cablevision thing? Nah. I heard from Fios and Comcast people who have the issue too.

I can get on via my phone, but my home computer via Cox is not connecting. Odd.

Reporting for duty! Fios via a PC.

Thanks for the patience all – we’re still working on it

OK, all plugins are off. So, who is here today?

Phone is ok, yesterday the PC was out (comcast). Thought it was browser prob, (Firefox) but now I think not.

Ditto the comments about the main page (waswatching.com) being reachable by iPod Touch but not by any desktop browsers.

I even tried changing my “User Agent” setting in my Chrome desktop browser to a few different options. Only “iPod” or “iPad” or “iPhone” returns an actual web page.

My guess is your web server is no longer rendering the main page correctly for “regular” User Agents. (I have no idea why.)

      @Ben M.

That doesn’t jive with what I’m seeing. I am hitting the main page with my work and home desktop.

I still maintain that I think it’s a routing issue. It could just be a bigger issue than just one ISP.

    15. January 8th, 2014 | 3:10 pm

Nah, it’s a pretty infamous WP issue.

Just google: wordpress blog white page on index

      Maybe fixed now?
      Anyone still experiencing the problem?

Didn’t check the site until now. Everything seems fins to me. In fact, it seems that replies are being posted faster than usual at the moment.

      @Steve

Doesn’t make sense. It works for me without a hitch on all of my PCs regardless of browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE,) and platform (Desktop, Mobile).

Had you turned on the wp-cache plugin in the past few days?

      I’m breathing again.

    23. January 8th, 2014 | 11:49 pm

Corey – my guy made a couple of tweaks of the wp config with regards to caching

      that seemed to fix it

Looks ok now, for a few days I got a blank page when reading the home page but could still access individual links via Twitter.

Whatever it was…it’s fixed now. I’ve successfully logged on at work. I’ll test home tonight.

Thanks – and, sorry for the hassle y’all.

Checking in from NC. I seldom post, but read daily. Never had a problem with either Firefox or IE.

I still haven’t forgiven Cashman for having failed to sign Yu Darvish, especially after the Yankees scouted him throughout the 2011 season, in which he went 18-6 with a 1.44 ERA for the Nippon Ham Fighters. “We scout Japanese baseball the same way we scout the American League and the National League,” Cashman said. “We had a wave of scouts there all season.”

      Heads should roll!
