    In his first professional season, Derek Jeter batted .210 (in Rookie and A-Ball, combined). The next year, he had 56 errors during the year.

    In the end, things worked out pretty good for him, eh?

      One of the reasons why I wait until a prospect:

      1) fails multiple times at the A-Ball level, or
      2) fails miserably at the AA-level, or
      3) doesn’t make the majors by 26

      to declare him dead, metaphorically speaking.
